Hello

Welcome to my practice! I'm Katie Keck, a Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma and cultivate authentic, meaningful connections in their lives. I also take pride in providing clinical supervision to students and associates, guiding them as develop their unique clinical voices and skills on their journey to licensure. Let's embark on this transformative journey together!

My Story

I grew up in a charming little town in Southern California, where my love for the great outdoors and fascination with human behavior truly took root! Coming from a big, lively Irish American family with a rich tapestry of generational trauma, I developed a deep curiosity about psychology. I proudly earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Redlands and then on to complete my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of LaVerne. After graduate school, I dove into various eating disorder treatment programs, where I received fantastic training in DBT and EMDR while being mentored through an exciting Attachment Theory lens. I encountered many inspiring clients battling co-occurring substance use and process addiction disorders, which fueled my desire to pursue even more education and training to better support their journeys!

I became a licensed MFT in California in 2012 and began mentoring interns and associates in 2014. As the Clinical Director of a private residential program, I had the privilege of treating incredible young women facing eating disorders trauma, and substance use challenges. In 2017, I made the adventurous move to Bend, where I embraced role of Outpatient Director at a community mental health agency. I proudly obtained my MFT license in Oregon in 2018 and became an Oregon state-approved supervisor in 2019. Plus, I earned my CADC1 in 2019 and tested for my CADC2 in 2021, allowing me to guide others on their path to CADC certification!

Recently, I embarked on an exciting self-employment journey, developing my private practice and providing clinical supervision for interns and associates!  This step in my career has allowed me to reconnect with my purpose and passion for helping others.

I have a beautiful blended family that includes my two incredible teenage sons, my wonderful partner Adam, his two children and our two adorable dogs, Cali and Poppy—our very own "Brady Bunch!" We absolutely love life in Central Oregon, enjoying activities like hiking, camping, paddling, skiing, and snowboarding. But my heart belongs to the beach, so we make it a point to road trip and vacation to the ocean whenever we can!
